Charizen Foundation
Food Distribution
Food is a fundamental human need, and feeding the hungry is a noble endeavour. But in rural areas of Maharashtra, most of the people living below poverty line can not afford daily nutrients in their food. Charizen Foundation with the goal of eradicating hunger organizes food distribution programs to ensure food security of those people by providing cooked meals. This initiative not only strives to alleviate hunger but also to address the nutrition needs for their health and ensure that no one in our community goes to bed hungry.
Clothes Distribution
After food, adequate clothing is a necessity for human survival. Clothing is the symbol of protection, dignity, and confidence. In disadvantaged remote areas, meeting this basic essential seems to be a challenge. In response, Charizen Foundation arranges cloth distribution programs to supply usable clean clothes to these deprived people. This program not only fulfils a basic need but also brings joy and a sense of well-being. Through this impactful gesture, we aim to create a positive impact on the lives of those confronting economic challenges in rural communities.
Educational Support
We believe that education is a powerful tool with which you can achieve your goal. Most children from weaker economic backgrounds here are unable to sustain their educational journey. To help these children, we are providing financial support to them by paying their school fees and buying them free study kits including pencils, erasers, pens, books, notebooks etc. Our mission is to make basic education accessible for these children, empower these young minds, and pave the way for a brighter future.
Housing Reconstruction
We extend our aid to the underprivileged who have no means to avail a roof over heads or to reconstruct their houses. We reach out to such families, verify their status, and provide comprehensive support, helping financially to reconstruct houses or secure a permanent, sturdy roof. Our mission is to empower these individuals by creating sustainable housing solutions, offering them the stability and security they deserve for a better quality of life.
Health Camp
Health, a fundamental human right, is often a distant dream in underserved rural areas. At Charizen Foundation, we focus on rural Maharashtra, where basic necessities are scarce affording quality healthcare is quite difficult. To address this issue, we strive to bridge the healthcare gap, collaborating with reputed doctors and other health professionals, and offering free services by organizing general health and eye check-up camps, dental check-up camps where we provide diagnosis service, treatment and medicines without any charges. To combat blood shortage, we also organize blood donation camps. We express our gratitude to dedicated medical professionals who contribute to the success of these outreach programs, working towards ensuring everyone receives the healthcare they deserve.
Accessible Drinking Water
In remote villages, women travel up to 1 km for drinking water and the possibility of waterborne disease outbreaks is also common. Our mission is to ensure safe drinking water access by bringing sources closer to homes. Committed to improving water quality and reducing health risks, we strive to enhance community well-being. By making clean drinking water easily accessible, we aim to create a positive impact on domestic hygiene and overall health, fostering a healthier environment for all.
Legal Aid
We firmly believe that access to justice is a fundamental right of every citizen of our country irrespective of their societal status, religion and creed. Discrimination, injustice, or violation of rights are prevalent issues in marginalized areas. To combat these issues, we prioritize legal awareness, education and aid, focusing on bringing a peaceful and livable environment among marginalized communities. Our mission is to empower individuals with knowledge of their legal rights, providing essential legal aid to those facing discrimination, injustice, or human rights violations. Through our dedicated efforts, we aspire to foster a more equitable and just society, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to seek and receive fair treatment under the law.
Tribal development
We strongly believe that grassroots development is the cornerstone of societal progress. Our goal is to uplift and empower the tribal population through education, healthcare, and essential resources, placing them at the forefront of India’s development. Through diverse programs and initiatives, we work towards empowering tribal communities, aiming for their self-sufficiency. We envision that our efforts will contribute significantly to India’s progress and create a brighter tomorrow for the country’s tribal population.
Fruit Distribution at Govt Hospital
We distributed fruits at a government hospital, a vital healthcare hub for common and underprivileged individuals. Recognizing the importance of nutrition, we visited patients, bringing smiles with the gift of fruits. The joy reflected on their faces reinforces our commitment to serving humanity and addressing essential needs in healthcare, fostering a sense of well-being and care.
Environment
Women Empowerment
We acknowledge that women’s empowerment is pivotal for the progress of a nation. In tribal marginalized areas, the majority of women are not aware of their rights and duties and this leads to a threat to their existence as they become easily vulnerable to gender discrimination, violence and abuse. Regarding this, we raise awareness about women’s rights and encourage them to raise their voices against any ill-treatment. We have also undertaken some vocational training to equip them with the skills to earn a livelihood, support their families financially and become self-dependent. Through these efforts, we aim to break the cycle of poverty, unemployment, and social issues, leading toward a brighter and more equitable future for all.
